Band Bio's
Everyone in my group brings something different. There are some similarities between the types of music we all like to listen to and some drastic differences. However, I personally feel this has been a good thing as it has meant that we have been introduced to slightly different bands and artists (for example the Mallory Knox song) than we usually would listen to, but because we also similar tastes we have found it easy to make song choices. When choosing our songs we took into consideration the venue, our audience and what type of genres the other groups would perform and came to the conclusion that is would be best for all of us to do a mainly acoustic set. Although Connor will be playing electric guitar in one song and Nina an electric bass our songs will be acoustic sounding.Group Members

Age: 17
Instruments: Guitar, flute
About: I have been playing the guitar for 3 1/2 years and the flute for 7. I like a large range of genres of music, a few examples are folk, alternative rock, folk-pop and rock-pop. I enjoy listening to bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Mumford and Sons and Bastille. In the band I tend to play rhythm guitar and sing, normally lead vocals or harmonizing with Kerry. I am also a member of the Tavistock College jazz band which I play my flute in. I enjoy working with everyone else in the band and all of our instruments and musical preferences compliment each other which makes working together very easy and enjoyable.

About: In our group Kerry plays a range of instruments. In some pieces she plays guitar, others piano and in all songs sings, normally harmonizing with me and in one sings solo. Kerry has been playing these range of instruments for a number of years and has reached a very impressive grade 5 on piano. She likes a wide variety of genres for example musical theater, folk and rock and likes artists such as Beatles, Queen and Train. Kerry is an asset to our group and is very easy and enjoyable to work with.

Age: 17
Instruments: Bass
About: Nina plays the bass and has been for the last 2 years. She enjoys music such as Blink 182, Green Day and Famous last words and has been very much influenced in how she performs by these bands. Nina is very passionate about music, so much so that she taught herself to play the bass. Nina is easy to get along with and a hard working member of the group.

About: Connor is a very talented musician and plays a huge array of instruments. He has been playing the guitar for five years, bass for four and the piano and synth for two. He can also play basic drums. Connor likes genres such as pop-punk, electro-punk and art-pop and listens to bands such as Pierce the veil, The 1975, Brand New, Lana Del Ray and Hands like Houses. Connor has an extensive knowledge of all of the instruments he plays and is a great help to us in the group who are not quite as experienced as he is. He is hard working and great to work with.
